Beauty Talk; Johnson's Lasting Moisture

{image: ebayHK}
I have a rather peculiar habit recently. I like to leave around bottles/tubes of hand creams and lotions around the house and inside each one of my bags. I know its annoying for some people but as I grow older, I found that my skin are more prone to dryness and chapped skin so I think its good to keep a tube within easy reach to be massaged on hands and nails for instant softness.

I'm usually not particular about the brand, I'm open to trying new products as long as its not greasy and has a pleasant fragrance. Johnson's Lasting Moisture (50g) is simply fabulous. Its affordable, fast absorbing and has amazing fruity scent. The bottle is small enough to be carried inside your handbags.

Try it and I'm sure you'll get hooked too ...

Beauty Talk; Clinique Chubby Stick

{image: Clinique}
When I saw these chubby sticks on their advertisements, I was so excited to try it as I was expecting a translucent, super moist lip balm like texture with a gentle hint of color.

I bought one in super strawberry.

Pros: I love how the whole chubby stick look (like a giant crayon =P) and the fact that you won't need a sharpener. In terms of color, you'll probably adore these if you are a lipstick person. Otherwise, you have to apply them lightly as the colors are pretty intense.

Cons: To be honest, I was rather disappointed. Upon first application, the texture was a tad dry definitely not as moisturizing as I expected it to be. It was more like a lipstick than a balm/gloss. My lips did not feel soft or healthy. I end up having to prep my lips with another lip balm before I apply this and apply a coat of lip gloss after to achieve the glossy look.

My verdict: I wouldn't buying more of this. 2/5 stars

Beauty Talk; Dr:Ci:Labo BB Lip Gloss

Dr:Ci:Labo BB Lip Gloss is definitely my fav lip gloss at the moment. It has a jelly like texture which clings on your lips comfortably, creating a full lips look with super lasting gloss, a refreshing minty taste and UV protection (SPF15).

But unfortunately its only available in Japan for about 2000yen
My Verdict: Moisturized, shiny, plumped lips!!

Beauty Talk; Rosken - Dry skin cream

{image: photographer - chris collsstyle me romy via pink loulou}
Introducing, my holy grail of a moisturizer.

Rosken Dry Skin Cream
I have a very weird dry left elbow. The skin around my elbow sometimes gets flaky and itchy. It gets really annoying as I'd be scratching on it constantly. One day daddy noticed it and recommended Rosken.
(yes my daddy knows more about lotions than me!)

I usually hate putting on any cream on my skin as they left a sticky, oily feeling after. Well, except for my Noodle & Boo Super Soft Lotion,which sadly didn't work on my stubborn left elbow.

Rosken however, works wonder. And it is now my holy grail of moisturizer! I love the fact that this cream is so moisturizing, soothes my flaky patch, absorbs in quickly and yet leaves no greasy residue. It also has a pleasant faint, almost undetectable fragrance. Oh they work on dry heels too. I use this everyday and everywhere now.

At about SGD 7.00 for a 75ml tube this cream is a definitely a must have.

Beauty Talk; Jill Stuart - Loose Powder

"A finely milled, velvety soft powder acts as a finishing touch to foundation, creating an impeccably flawless complexion. Sheer, ultra natural coverage sets foundation, helping makeup stay fresher longer. Comes with a cashmere like puff for luxurious application. Plastic sifter regulates the amount of powder used for a natural look every time."-Jill Stuart

This looks totally old-school glamour and so elegant. It looks so good on the dresser. The powder is soft and fluffy, this means that it looks real natural and doesn't make your face look powdery no matter how much you use. Its almost like you are brushing on layers of velvety smooth skin

Beauty Talk; Noodle & Boo - Super Soft Lotion

Noodle & Boo - Super Soft Lotion

"Noodle & Boo’s Super Soft Lotion contains sweet almond oil to gently hydrate while vitamins E and C help protect delicate skin. Ultra-light cream leaves skin silky soft and smooth. Unique combination of emollients gently nourishes skin and provides a protective layer of natural antioxidants that helps shield sensitive skin from environmental factors. Works wonderfully for baby massage. Our Super Soft Lotion is mild enough for daily use, and can be used on newborns and babies with sensitive skin." -Noodles & Boo

I am addicted to this lotion. Definitely one of the best lotions around. The combination of wonderful baby scent and the super soft feel on my skin is just irresistible. The fact that its hypo-allergenic and dermatologist tested, means its really good for sensitive skin too.
